Filler and Subcision for Chin Dimpling
This patient had age-related changes in her chin that led to deeply-set dimpling. She’s in her late 60’s, so this is very normal aging, but because she takes such great care of herself and her skin, she felt this area stood out as particularly aging in her appearance.
She has had treatment with both Defyne and Voluma filler in this area, and our doctors have performed subcision (releasing the scar tissue that often holds dimples and wrinkles in place) during the filler treatment process as well. Both are important to get results like these, and most injectors don’t know how to do the subcision part safely. It’s a more advanced technique that only a doctor should perform.
