This patient had Juvederm brand filler for her lips. She is a mom in her mid-40’s and wanted a natural result.
We’re including an image below of her immediately after injection, since so many patients are concerned that the result they see immediately after injection will be their final result. Injecting the lips does cause swelling. The amount of swelling varies by patient, but her’s is very normal. It takes lips about 2-3 days for the majority of the swelling to go down. During that time, we often counsel patients to wear a bright lipstick or a gloss if they want to camouflage the swelling. By 2 weeks post-injection, the final results have settled in.
