This young male had several types of acne scars. While the discoloration was very mild, his skin texture concerns, including rolling scars and box-car scars, were moderate to severe.
Subcision was used to break up the underlying scar tissue that tethered his deepest scars down to the fascia below the skin, then dermal filler was used to fill in the indentation. Finally, RF Microneedling, a special type of deeper microneedling that uses radiofrequency heat to repair scarring, was used to even out and remodel his skin.
As with most acne scar patients, he sees a very marked improvement, but not perfection. This is a realistic expectation that acne scar patients need to be aware of with treatments of any kind.
If you want to discuss non-surgical acne scar removal options, we warmly welcome you to our offices for a complimentary one-on-one consultation with one of our cosmetic physicians.
