Georgia came to Reflections Center for Botox, but had some concerns about a frozen, unnatural look. She explains that she has seen other Botox patients whose results look like “their face is very stiff and they don’t look natural, and that did concern me.” However, after her consultation with Dr. Chasin, Georgia was reassured that she would receive the correct amount of Botox to reach the results she wanted without over-injecting.
In fact, in maintenance injection appointments, Georgia has found that Dr. Chasin will actually recommend less Botox than she thinks she needs. “I’ve said to Dr. Chasin, ‘Dr. Chasin, I hate this. Do you think I need this? Or what about that?’ He will look at me and he will say ‘it’s not time, you’re fine the way you are.’” A conservative approach to Botox injections allows patients like Georgia to still move freely and avoid negative effects of over-injecting, like raised eyebrows or a noticeable, unnatural appearance. “I love that because that allows me to be me, naturally, but just a little better,” Georgia says.
At Reflections Center, Botox appointments begin with a nurse taking photos of the treatment area to assess the patients’ needs. Then, Dr. Chasin will review the photos and explain his recommended treatment plan with the patient. “He’ll explain where he’s going to put [the Botox], why he’s going to do it and how much he’s going to put in each little space,” Georgia says. Some key signs that Dr. Chasin looks to address with Botox can include symmetry, degree of movement, or drooping through the eyebrows and forehead. In addition, Dr. Chasin is careful to explain why these changes may occur, so patients are fully informed and confident throughout the procedure.
It hurts less than getting your ears pierced. It hurts less than if you have a hangnail and you have to do a manicure to get it fixed and the little bit of pain you have to go through is worth the results that you’re going to have at the end.
After explaining the treatment plan, injections are completed very quickly. Georgia explains that her Botox injections are completed “at the most, five, maybe seven minutes” and that the procedure is painless and easy. “It hurts less than getting your ears pierced. It hurts less than if you have a hangnail and you have to do a manicure to get it fixed, and the little bit of pain you have to go through is worth the results you’re going to have at the end,” she explains. On average, Botox lasts about 4-6 months, but patients can return for maintenance injections to keep up their results.
The only people that know that I’ve got Botox are the people that I told. Everybody else just thinks I look great, and I love it. I love it. They don’t advertise it; they just tell me “you look fantastic” and I thank them. And then I also thank—in my mind—Dr. Chasin.
Because Dr. Chasin is an experienced and knowledgeable Botox provider, Georgia’s results look completely natural. “The only people that know that I’ve got Botox are the people that I told. Everybody else just thinks I look great, and I love it,” she explains. “They just tell me ‘you look fantastic’ and I thank them. And then I also thank—in my mind—Dr. Chasin.”
Because of her excellent results and experience, Georgia has recommended Reflections Center to friends and family. “I think that this was one of the best places I have found. From the moment you walk in that door that staff makes you feel unbelievably comfortable. As a matter of fact, from the initial phone call, they want to get to know you. They call you by your first name, you feel like you’re walking into a place where you’ve been going for years,” she says.
“You feel when you leave here that your plan of treatment is just for you. Not a general plan that everybody is going to fit the bill. It’s your bill. I cannot imagine going anywhere else but Reflections.”
